Plum Creek Names Joan Fitzmaurice to Newly Created Position of Vice President -- Audit and Financial Services

SEATTLE, Jun 19, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc.(NYSE:PCL) named Joan K. Fitzmaurice to the newly created post of Vice President-- Audit and Financial Services.

Fitzmaurice will have responsibility for the Audit, Information Technology, andInvestor Relations functions of Plum Creek and will report directly to Rick R.Holley, President and CEO of the company.

Prior to joining Plum Creek, Fitzmaurice, 44, was a Partner at the accountingfirm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. During her 18 years in public accounting,Fitzmaurice worked with clients in many different industries and has beeninvolved in numerous complex transactions, including Plum Creek's 1999conversion from a master limited partnership to real estate investment trust andthe company's recent merger with The Timber Company. She is a graduate of theUniversity of Washington.
