SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 2003--Plum Creek Timber Company,Inc. (NYSE:PCL) today announced the appointment of Robin Josephs toits board of directors.

Josephs is the managing director of Ropasada, LLC, a privateinvestment firm. Josephs was employed by Goldman Sachs from 1986 to1996 in their Real Estate Investment Banking Division and in theEquity Capital Markets Group. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs,Josephs served as an analyst for Booz Allen & Hamilton, Inc. in NewYork from 1982 to 1984. Josephs received a B.S. degree in economicsfrom the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and anM.B.A. from Columbia University.
Josephs also serves as a director of iStar Financial (and itspredecessors) and has since March 1998.
With the addition of Josephs, Plum Creek now has eight boardmembers.
