Carl B. Webb Joins Plum Creek Board of Directors

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2003--Plum Creek TimberCompany, Inc. (NYSE:PCL) today announced that Carl B. Webb has joinedthe company's board of directors.

Webb served as president, chief operating officer and director ofGolden State Bancorp, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary CaliforniaFederal Bank. Prior to working at Golden State Bancorp, Webb wasemployed by First Madison Bank as president and chief executiveofficer and director. Additionally, Webb served on the board ofdirectors of First Nationwide Mortgage Corporation of Frederick,Maryland, one of the largest mortgage loan originators and mortgageloan services in the country. Webb holds a bachelor of businessadministration degree from West Texas A&M University and a graduatebanking degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
