SEATTLE, Feb 11, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Plum Creek TimberCompany, Inc. (NYSE:PCL) today announced the company's board ofdirectors has elected Ian B. Davidson chairman of the board. Mr.Davidson will assume the duties of chairman immediately following thecompany's 2005 annual meeting of stockholders on May 11.
Mr. Davidson will replace David D. Leland as chairman. Mr. Leland,who is retiring from the board, has served on Plum Creek's board ofdirectors since 1989, and served in the capacity of chairman since1993.

Mr. Davidson is the chairman of the board of directors of DavidsonCompanies, the holding company and owner of the brokerage firm D.A.Davidson & Co. He has served as a director of Plum Creek sinceDecember 1989.
