Plum Creek Promotes Manning to Controller

SEATTLE, Apr 14, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc. (NYSE:PCL) today announced thepromotion of Daniel Manning to controller. In this role, Manning willoversee Plum Creek's financial reporting and related Securities andExchange Commission compliance activities as well as other financialactivities such as management's assessment of internal control.
Manning, 37, joined Plum Creek in 2002 as senior manager, resourceaccounting, where he served until being promoted to director,financial reporting in 2004. In this new role, Manning will continueto report to David Brown, vice president, chief accounting officer.
Manning joined Plum Creek after successfully serving as seniorauditor at Arthur Andersen and as controller at Scott USA, Inc.
Manning is a certified public accountant and earned a Bachelor ofScience degree in accounting from the University of Idaho.
