Ken Krivanec named President, Quadrant Homes

FEDERAL WAY, October 1, 2010 — Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today announced that Ken Krivanec has been named president of Quadrant Homes, the company’s homebuilder in the Puget Sound region, effective immediately.
He succeeds Peter Orser who was named president of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Ken as we both assume new roles,” Orser said. “Ken has an accomplished track record of brand development, customer focus and execution. He’s been a key driver in helping Quadrant achieve prominence as the state’s largest homebuilder.”
Krivanec began his career with Quadrant in 1999. A veteran of the homebuilding industry since 1988, Krivanec previously worked for Ivory Homes, Ryland Homes and KB Homes.
Mark Gray will serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Gray joined in 1991, serving in a variety of capacities. He has played an instrumental role in Quadrant adopting lean manufacturing principles focusing on quality and safety which has led to Quadrant’s recognition as a leader in the areas of green building, safe practices and disciplined schedule and quality management.
