Warren named president of Maracay Homes

FEDERAL WAY, Wash., April 13, 2009 Andy Warren has been appointed president of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company subsidiary Maracay Homes in Phoenix, Ariz., effective April 27.

Warren is a 25-year veteran of the residential construction industry.  Most recently, he spent five years as a partner and chief operating officer of EYA, a private builder-developer in Bethesda, Md.  Prior to that, he was with WRECO’s Winchester Homes in the Washington, D.C., metro area.  During his 16 years with Winchester, he held a variety of positions, including executive vice president.

“Throughout his career, Andy has achieved stretch operating results, created team environments, developed and grown people, led change and improvement efforts, and realized visions for a customer-focused company,” said Larry Burrows, president of WRECO.  “Having previously worked with Andy for many years, I’m confident in his abilities to manage Maracay through the current difficult time and successfully position the company for the future.”

Warren holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University and holds an MBA from George Washington University.
