Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation Donates $50,000 For Storm Relief Efforts in Lewis County

FEDERAL WAY, Wash., January 9, 2009 The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation today announced it has awarded $50,000 to the United Way of Lewis County to support relief and rebuilding efforts in areas of the county affected by the recent storms and flooding.

“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the flooding,” said Bruce Amundson, president of the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation. “Along with the efforts currently underway by our employees in the area, we are pleased to support the United Way in its work to help these communities recover from this storm.”

Weyerhaeuser Company owns more than one million acres of timberland in Washington and employs more than 5,000 in the state.
