Weyerhaeuser Names Betsy Seaton VP of Strategic Planning

FEDERAL WAY, Wash., October 21, 2008 — Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today named Betsy Seaton to the role of vice president, Strategic Planning. Seaton will report to Dan Fulton, president and CEO.
Seaton will work directly with the company’s senior management team and will be responsible for coordinating strategic planning activities across the company.
Seaton has held a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility since joining the company in 1992, most recently leading the company’s effort to improve supply chain efficiency in its businesses with SAP technology. She also has held a variety of strategic planning roles at Weyerhaeuser and served as a regional vice president in the company’s Recycling business. She started her career with the Boston Consulting Group. Seaton holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Princeton University, and holds a joint law-master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago.
