Weyerhaeuser Names Larry Burrows, WRECO President/CEO

FEDERAL WAY, Wash., March 13, 2008 Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today announced that Larry Burrows, 55, has been named president and chief executive officer of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company effective March 31.

He succeeds Daniel S. Fulton who assumed the title of president, Weyerhaeuser Company, in December.

Burrows will report directly to Fulton and will be a member of the company's senior management team.  In his new role, Burrows will oversee five local real estate companies and the company’s builder financing operation.

"The real estate business represents an important business for Weyerhaeuser and one where we envision future growth," Fulton said.  "Larry's 32 years in the industry gives him the experience necessary to lead us through these current challenging market conditions while positioning us for that growth. As a member of the company's leadership team, Larry's strategic thinking and collaborative approach will be critical as we chart Weyerhaeuser’s future direction."

Burrows currently serves as president of Winchester Homes, Weyerhaeuser’s homebuilding operation in the Washington, DC area. Under his leadership, Winchester Homes has repositioned itself as an upscale brand and developed one of the strongest quality and customer satisfaction programs in the industry.

Burrows holds a bachelor of arts from the Rutgers University and a masters from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton Business School.
