Weyerhaeuser Names Claire S. Grace Vice President

FEDERAL WAY, Wash., January 7, 2008 — Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today announced that Claire S. Grace has been named vice president in addition to her existing roles as corporate secretary and assistant general counsel. She reports to Sandy McDade, senior vice president and general counsel.
Grace has served as the company’s corporate secretary and assistant general counsel since 2000. She joined Weyerhaeuser in 1997 as a senior attorney and became senior legal counsel in 1999. Grace previously was vice president and associate counsel for Washington Mutual, an attorney with Perkins Coie and served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Grace earned her law degree at the University of Washington. She also holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s from Goddard College.
