Weyerhaeuser Realty Investors, a provider of institutional capital for project financing for homebuilders and developers, has tapped Lorrie Scott to serve as senior vice president and general counsel.

Scott comes to the newly created position from Weyerhaeuser Company, where she had served since 2001 as senior legal counsel, specializing in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate governance, securities law compliance, corporate finance, and contracts. Prior to Weyerhaeuser, Scott worked for The Boeing Company as a transactional and litigation lawyer.

Scott is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where she edited the Harvard Environmental Law Review. She also holds a master's degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
