Jun 18, 2007

What: Twenty years ago, the clean up of a former explosives
manufacturing site posed one of the most daunting environmental
challenges in Washington state's history. Today the restored
site -- complete with a championship golf course and flanked by
a 300-acre business and technology park now available for
development and a master plan community that includes 1,000
acres in parks, recreation and open space -- stands as
testament to the enduring power of partnership and
            environmental leadership.
