Denney Appointed Vice President, Canadian Forestlands

Weyerhaeuser Company announced today that Norm Denney has been appointed Vice President, Canadian Forestlands, effective immediately.

Weyerhaeuser manages Crown harvesting rights in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and New Brunswick.

Denney has over 35 years of experience in the Canadian forest industry, most recently as Weyerhaeuser's Woodlands Manager for its Alberta Operations. Prior to joining Weyerhaeuser in 1989, Denney held various forest management positions with Swanson Lumber, Canfor and Pelican Spruce Mills.

Denney has a long record of industry and community service. He is past President of the Alberta Forest Products Association, past Director of the Registered Professional Foresters Association of Alberta, and Board member of the Alberta Chamber of Resources.

Denney succeeds Tom Holmes who recently accepted a new position with Weyerhaeuser as Vice President, Southern Timberlands.
