Weyerhaeuser Completes Sale of French Composite Panels Assets

Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY), one of the world's largest integrated forest products companies, today announced that it has completed the sale and transfer of its composite panels assets in France to Financiera Maderera S.A. (FINSA), the largest producer of particleboard in Spain.

Weyerhaeuser said the facilities are a better strategic fit for FINSA, which has a larger European presence.
The Linxe facility has the capacity to produce 230 million square feet while the Morcenx facility has a manufacturing capacity of 100 million square feet.
