TODAY: Mount St. Helens Media Opportunities for Wednesday, May 18

  Who/What:
   Steve Rogel, Weyerhaeuser chairman, president and chief executive
   officer, will be joined by Washington Governor Christine Gregoire and her
   husband Mike, Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski and First Lady Mary Oberst,
   Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers, Washington Commissioner of Public
   Lands Doug Sutherland, and high level officials from the federal
   government to host a special "Reflection and Renewal" event for
   200 dignitaries and guests at Mount St. Helens to mark 25 years since the
   1980 eruption.

   Speakers will reflect back on how the 1980 eruption impacted lives and
   the landscape.  They will also celebrate the renewal of the surrounding
   forest, which was leveled in 1980 but today is healthy and productive.

  Where:
   The event will be held at Weyerhaeuser's Forest Learning Center, which
   sits in the 1980 blast zone on the northwest side of the crater.  The
   Forest Learning Center is 2.5 hours from Seattle or Portland.  If
   traveling south on I-5, take exit 63.  If traveling north on I-5, take
   exit 49.  The Center is 33 miles off I-5 on Highway 504 (Spirit Lake
   Highway).  Weyerhaeuser operates the Forest Learning Center in
   partnership with the Washington Department of Transportation and the
   Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

  When:
   10 a.m., Wednesday, May 18.

  Parking and Satellite Trucks:
   The Forest Learning Center parking lot offers a large media parking area
   with unobstructed locations for satellite uplinks.
