Weyerhaeuser to Manufacture Fluff Pulp at Port Wentworth

Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY), the world's largest supplier of market fluff pulp, today announced plans to enable its Port Wentworth, Ga. cellulose fiber mill to produce an absorbent fiber.

Port Wentworth has the capacity to produce 300,000 metric tons of softwood pulp annually.
"These changes are being implemented in response to strong demand from our customers," said Arnfinn Giske, vice president, Cellulose Fibers. "This addition of fluff capability, combined with our research and development capabilities and technical support, will ensure that Weyerhaeuser continues to provide new products and capabilities to meet the growing demands of our customers."
