Weyerhaeuser's 23rd Annual Seedling Sales Programin Oregon Is Scheduled Feb. 12 and March 12

The public will have the opportunity to buy a variety of high-quality tree seedlings native to the Northwest when Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) holds its 23rd annual Seedling Sales Program.

The sales are scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 12 and March 12. They will be held at Weyerhaeuser's tree nursery on Lone Elder Road in Aurora. Aurora is located on Oregon Highway 99E, between Canby to the north, and Hubbard to the south. It is about 25 miles south of Portland and about 20 miles north of Salem.

Available species will depend on weather and soil conditions. The seedlings most likely will include Austrian pine, Balsam fir, Canann fir, Colorado blue spruce, Corkbark fir, Douglas fir, Flowering Dogwood, Fraser fir, Giant sequoia, Grand fir, Korean fir, Nikko fir, Noble fir, Norway spruce, Ponderosa pine, Sitka spruce, Western hemlock, Western red cedar and White fir.

Trees may be purchased individually or by the bag or box. Individual trees, regardless of species, cost 75 cents each. Prices for a full bag or box range from 25 to 55 cents per seedling, depending on stock type and quantity. Payment is by cash or checks only. All sales are on a first-come, first served basis. No advance orders will be accepted. Quantities on some stock may be limited.
