Weyerhaeuser Names Holmes Vice President, Canadian Timberlands

Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today announced that Tom Holmes, 55, is assuming the role of vice president, Canadian Timberlands, effective immediately.

In addition to his present responsibilities as vice president Timberlands BC Coastal Group, Holmes will be responsible for Weyerhaeuser's forestlands across Canada. This includes the forestlands operations in Interior British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and New Brunswick.
Holmes, a 32-year veteran of the forest products industry, started his career with MacMillan Bloedel in 1972. When Weyerhaeuser acquired MacMillan Bloedel in 1999, Holmes became vice president, Timberlands BC Coastal Group, a position he held until assuming his new role.
Holmes is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
