Weyerhaeuser Names Jeanne M. Hillman VP, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer

Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today announced that Jeanne M. Hillman, 46, has been elected vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer by the company's board of directors.

As part of a transition resulting from the planned retirement of Steven J. Hillyard, Hillman assumed the role of vice president, corporate controller on Jan. 1. She assumes the additional role of chief accounting officer on April 1 following Hillyard's retirement.
In her new role, Hillman reports directly to Richard J. Taggart, executive vice president and chief financial officer and is responsible for managing the Controllership organization, which includes financial transactions, accounting, business and corporate function analytical support, and Internal Audit. In April, Hillman will assume the additional responsibility for reporting the company's financial performance and related reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Prior to assuming her current role, Hillman served as assistant controller. Hillman joined Weyerhaeuser in 1984 after working at Ernst and Whinney. During her career, Hillman has held numerous leadership positions in the finance organization including director, SG&A and planning; and controller, Enterprise Transaction Center where she was responsible for U.S. and Canadian financial transaction processing, corporate accounting, corporate consolidations and corporate financial support.
Hillman holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Pacific Lutheran University and is a graduate of Seattle University's Executive Leadership Program. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington.
