FEDERAL WAY, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 14, 2009-- Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE:WY) today announced that it is the only building materials company named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI: North America) that tracks North American companies in terms of their economic, environmental and social performance.

The DJSI follows a best-in-class approach and includes sustainability leaders from each industry on a global and regional level. The annual review is based on an assessment of corporate economic, environmental and social performance, covering issues such as corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labor practices. The DJSI results are available to asset managers around the world for a variety of sustainability-driven investment portfolios.
